9U Tadpole Pic

The 9U (Tadpole) division provides baseball for boys and girls born in 2009 and 2010.

A pitching machine is used for the entire game, with a maximum of 6 innings per game. Players will continue to develop their primary baseball skills such as hitting, base running, fielding, and throwing, with a concentration on having fun in a team environment.

Players are drafted by the coaches onto evenly balanced teams to help promote individual and team development, while also introducing moderate levels of competition. Scores and standings are only recorded in tournaments. Umpires are also only used in tournaments.

The Spring Season runs from April to mid-June, with games typically played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Gunderson and Unwin Parks. Tadpole players will usually have 2 games and 1 practice per week.Peyton catch

Each player is required to have a glove, athletic supporter, cleats, and a batting helmet with strap. Uniforms (jersey, pants, and hat) and practice shirts are provided by the Association.
