13U (Peewee) players were born in 2004 or 2005.
In 13U Division tiering occurs and the players deemed to be the ‘Top 12’ by the coach selected to head the ‘AA’ team after ‘early identifying’ evaluations (February) will form the 13U AA Spring team.
The remaining players are then evaluated by the Single-A coaches (February) and these coaches will subsequently draft these players in an attempt to form equally-able teams that will then compete with other ‘A’ level teams from ND and other nearby Associations.
For the Single-A teams, the Spring Season runs from April to mid June. 13U games are held at Bob Bunnett Field (Annieville park). 13U players typically have 2 games and an additional 1 to 2 practices per week.
Equipment requirements are a glove, athletic supporter, grey pants, cleats and a batting helmet. After the teams are formed, players will have to purchase socks, the colour dictated by their team colours.
Although it is not required, players often choose to also use batting glove(s), and to use a bat that they personally own.
